Every glass of wine gives us clues that help us understand that particular wine. What grape or grapes were used? What was the growing climate like? When were the grapes harvested? What was the winemaker’s goal for this wine and what techniques did he or she use to achieve that goal? Approaching a wine like a detective may sound like work, but it really is nothing more than engaging all your senses to really enjoy that glass of wine.
